Description
In the heart of the Friuli region, on a splendid natural green terrace, the Monte Prat plateau unfolds at an average altitude of 800 meters above sea level. The houses of the Albergo Diffuso can be found among extensive green fields and restored old villages. All the area is guarded by the watchful eye of the magnificent griffon vulture in flight, inhabiting the surrounding Natural Reserve of lake Cornino. The prealpine mountains, with their pastures and alpine grazing, lie in the background, while in front of him the visitor can see the spectacular view of the Friulan plane in which lies the last wonderful free river in Europe, the Tagliamento.
The ancient houses have been restored in keeping with the traditions of the second half of the 19th century. These houses, isolated or placed in vary small rural villages, lie between fields and wood clearings, linked by ancient pathways. Guests fully enjoy the house, from the earliest hours of the morning when the sweet sounds of nature herald dawn. These are places where you can rediscover the importance of fresh air, reviving both body and mind, in an environment which is also suitable for young children. Each house is different, surrounded by a splendid landscape which changes with the passing of the seasons. Albergo Diffuso Monte Prat also has available a number of summer houses where one can spend a holiday immersed in the green and peaceful atmosphere of the plateau.
