This Honda Motorcycles got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1973 Honda CB500 Four is finished in Maxim Brown Metallic with black and white tank details and powered by a 498cc inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a Delkavic four-into-one exhaust system, four Keihin carburetors, chrome fenders and mirrors, both kick and electric starters, a front disc brake, and both center and side stands. The bike spent time in Illinois prior to its acquisition by the selling dealer in 2021, and subsequent service is said to have included replacement of the fluids, brake adjustments, and cleaning and adjusting the carburetors. This CB500 is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve in Delaware with a clean Illinois title.
The fuel tank and side panels are finished in Maxim Brown Metallic with black tank coves and white pinstripes. The bike features a two-up seat with a passenger grab strap, both center and side stands, and chrome fenders and mirrors. Paint and chrome imperfections can be seen in the gallery.
Wire-spoke wheels wear Bridgestone tires measuring 19″ up front and 18″ out back. Suspension consists of a conventional fork with rubber gaiters as well as dual adjustable chrome shocks mounted to the rear swingarm. Braking is handled by a front disc and a rear drum, and the brakes are said to have been recently adjusted.
Instrumentation includes a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 9,250-rpm redline, and a five-digit odometer showing 14k miles, a handful of which have been ridden by the selling dealer.
The 498cc SOHC inline-four was factory rated at 48 horsepower and 33 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with four Keihin carburetors, and both kick and electric starters. Recent service is said to have included installing the Delkavic four-into-one exhaust system, cleaning and adjusting the carburetors, and replacement of all fluids.
