Ante litteram literally translates to “before the letters.” Its meaning is related to the creation of something before the word to describe it exists. The visual communication of spatial constructs is central to this creative work and bridges art and architecture to explore investigations into spatial cultural and communicative relationships. Fletcher takes inspiration from pattern, minutia, flow, rigidity and chance.
