Description
Italiano: Ferrandina ha avuto origine dalle rovine dell'antico centro di Uggiano che fu distrutto da un terremoto nel 1456. La fondazione del paese, la si deve a Federico d'Aragona nel 1490 che accolse tutti gli scampati di Uggiano e diede il nome del padre re Ferrante o Ferrantino. L'antico stemma del paese aveva raffigurate sei F: " Federicus Ferrantis Filius Ferrandinam Fabricare Fecit".
