Miami Swim Week, dedicated entirely to swimwear and resort wear brands, is the opportunity to discover designers both new and old, serving up swimwear looks for all your summer (and winter) adventures. Style Editor Ikponmwosa Edorisiagbon headed out from New York City to the beautiful beaches of Miami to gather all the inspiration we need for the new season.

For this season’s collection Founder, Diego Binetti, decided to work with artist Lolo Bonfanti. For Love Binetti, Loló has designed some exuberant, elegant, and exotic images. She creates “underwater-tropical” environments where we can find strange hybrid creatures inhabiting these natural surroundings. Playfulness is an important element in Loló’s work; seashells coexisting with banana trees, octopuses with enormous mini-molecule heads, crab-claws-legs with cactus-heads, green snakes with yellow corral crowns are some of the images you can find in this new collection.

The new collection features some repeat prints, and we love they don’t feel the need for constant newness, as the brand knows that when women find something they love, it’s great to come back for a second or third item, or something that matches in the collection to complete a look.

Love Binetti’s collections are perfect for a customer who wants to look sexy by the pool, but transition into an elegant look for the evening. The new collection is incredibly versatile, complementing a range of body shapes and sizes with a range of XS to XXL, and even being flexible enough to be attractive to more petite men.

The materials used are all either silk, cotton poplin or a silk/cotton mix which makes for a soft, non-stick, moisture-wicking garment that keeps you cool in the heat. Key items we loved were the bodysuits, dresses – which all have pockets! – culottes and the hand-crocheted bags.
