AS A JUNIOR (2017): Shattered records in his final season in Gainesville and finished his career with the highest win percentage in school history (.824 – 28-6 record)…Played in 20 games with 19 starts and posted a 9-2 record with a 2.26 earned run average…Set a school record and led the nation with 157 strikeouts on the year; he finished his career with 349 strikeouts, third-most in UF history…Had a team-best .210 batting average against…Took his game to another level in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, totaling 27.1 innings with just one run allowed and racking up 44 strikeouts…In two starts at the College World Series, both against TCU, he combined for 14.1 scoreless innings and struck out 22 batters to earn 2017 CWS Most Outstanding Player honors as the Gators’ won the school’s first national title…On the season, he allowed one run or less in 13 of 19 starts…Struck out 10-plus batters four times on the year (Tennessee-12, USF-10, TCU-11, TCU-11)…Named the SEC Pitcher of the Week after going 8.2 scoreless innings against Miami with just two hits allowed…Also earned the honor after 8.2 scoreless innings against South Carolina…Finished his career with 28 wins (third-most in UF history) and averaged 10.84 strikeouts per nine innings, second all-time at Florida…Drafted No. 18 overall by the Detroit Tigers in the 2017 MLB Draft.
 
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Made 17 appearances, all starts, as a member of the Gators’ regular weekend rotation…Finished the season with a 13-3 record and 3.18 earned run average…Led the team with 13 wins, tied for second-most in a single season in school history, and was second on the team in innings pitched (104.2)…Went 7-1 in SEC play in nine starts with a 4.61 ERA…Had a team-high 133 strikeouts, fourth-most in school history and the most by a Florida pitcher since Brad Wilkerson recorded 136 in 1998…His rate of 11.44 strikeouts per nine innings ranked 10th in a single season in UF history…Totaled 10-plus strikeouts five times on the season, including 10 in eight innings against Georgia Tech in the NCAA Gainesville Regional while picking up his 13th win of the season…Named to the NCAA Gainesville Regional All-Tournament Team after his performance against the Yellow Jackets…Had four scoreless outings in 17 starts, including the postseason win over Georgia Tech…Pitched his first complete game (seven innings) in a win over Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament semifinals, allowing two runs on seven hits…Named the SEC Pitcher of the Week after setting career highs in innings pitched (8.1) and strikeouts (13) in a win over Harvard (0 ER, 2 H, 0 BB)…In his second start of the year, tossed 6.1 scoreless at Miami (FL) and didn’t allow a hit to earn the win and clinch the series against the Gators’ rival.
 
AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Over 19 appearances, including 12 starts, Faedo was 6-1 with a 3.23 earned run average…Worked his way into the Gators’ weekend rotation by mid-season and finished third on the squad with 59 strikeouts in 61.1 innings…Went 2-0 with a 4.94 ERA in six SEC starts, with 20 strikeouts and six walks in 23.2 innings…Drew three starts in UF’s postseason run and was 2-0 with a 1.98 ERA, highlighted by wins over Miami (FL) and Florida Atlantic…Registered seven strikeouts over five innings and limited the Hurricanes to one earned run in Omaha as the Gators eliminated their Sunshine State rivals…Picked up the victory in the NCAA Gainesville Regional against Florida Atlantic by holding the Owls to one run and three hits over a career-high six innings…Had five K in making the start against No. 8 Florida State at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville…Collected first win with five strikeouts and three scoreless frames against Fairfield in his first career start…Debuted with two strikeouts against Rhode Island in the eighth inning of the season opener.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Right-hander from Alonso High School who played for his father, head coach Landy Faedo…Repeated as Alonso’s Most Valuable Player and won the Andy Pried Award as the Ravens’ best pitcher in 2013 and 2014…Selected in the 40th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft by the Detroit Tigers with the 1,210th overall pick…Ranked No. 6 in the state of Florida and was the No. 25 right-hander in the Class of 2014 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Earned first-team All-American honors from Louisville Slugger and First Team All-State recognition in Class 8A after going 6-2 with a 0.58 ERA…Registered 68 strikeouts in 48.1 innings, tossed five complete games and hurled four shutouts…Faedo was a Second Team Preseason All-American and was named to the Florida All-Region First Team by Rawlings/Perfect Game prior to his senior year…Claimed the Florida Athletic Coaches Association District 7 Player of the Year and participated in the FACA All-Star Game…Won the 44tth annual Tony Saladino Award as Hillsborough County’s top prep senior…Other recent Gators to earn the honor include Tommy Toledo (2007) and Alex Panteliodis (2008), both of whom went to Alonso…Collected First Team All-Hillsborough County by the Tampa Bay Times and the Tampa Tribune and was a First Team All-Western Conference recipient…Honored at the Tampa Tribune’s Parade of Athletes…Was the Tampa Tribune’s Athlete of the Week after throwing a no-hitter with nine strikeouts against Bloomingdale in a district game…Collected Second Team Louisville Slugger All-America acclaim as a junior, when he was 8-2 with a 1.14 ERA, 87 K and 10 BB in 55.1 innings…Was a First Team All-State pick in Class 8A, First-Team All-Hillsborough County by the Tampa Bay Times and Second Team All-Hillsborough County by the Tampa Tribune…Was recognized with a Gold Glove Award by his team…Threw a no-hitter in Alonso’s final regular-season game in 2013…Set a single-game Tony Saladino Tournament record with 17 strikeouts against Plant City and made the event’s All-Tournament Team…Had been named to Perfect Game’s Underclassmen Preseason All-American Team before that campaign…The Ravens captured the Class 6A state championship during his freshman year…Member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Alonso.
