IBM PC AT 5171 and 5167 monitor???

The 5171 is listed as the TEMPEST variant of the 5170. Note all the extra metal mesh covering the drives which should reduce the amount of emissions so no one can snoop on the operations.

http://bitsavers.org/pdf/ibm/pc/IBM..._Computer_Product_Reference_Ver_4.0_Sep88.pdf page 153 shows the 5167-001 as TEMPEST Mono Display and 5171-168 as PC/AT Tempest. Someone didn't take security seriously.

The next page shows that the 3270PC was 5271 and 3270PCAT was 5273. The document shows a few other interesting albeit rare IBM models like the PC/AT G/GX which was available with a 19" monitor.

Really... I need to check mine then. I have 2 TEMPEST 5170's that both appear new in box. I took one apart, and it definitely has extensive shielding, not to mention an extra hole in the front (I was told by other members of our club that it was probably used with some sort of Syquest drive).

***EDIT***

I checked my TEMPTEST AT, and it's still a 5170, so it's possible 5171 could've been an IBM build. Mine says ITC IBM AT on it. I also have a shell only that says ITC PC-XT-T (and I've seen a TEMPEST IBM RT-PC as well), but I believe ITC was a different vendor in the 80s.

I found these pages about the PCAT Tempest in the 'PC Family Service Information manual'

What to hell is this?

Take some pictures of the boards inside, or at least take a picture of the back so I can see the slots.
The short one next to the disk controller is probably the adapter for a 122key 3270/PC keyboard.
It should have two 9 pin connectors.
