France handed over the first fourth-generation Dassault Rafale B fighter to Croatia

The Croatian Air Force has received the first French fourth-generation Dassault Rafale fighter jet.

Here's What We Know

This is a two-seat version of the Rafale B aircraft, with the aircraft number 170. The fighter was previously part of the French Air and Space Forces. The ceremony of transfer of the aircraft took place at the French airbase Mont-de-Marsan.

By the way, this is the first of twelve Dassault Rafale fighters that Croatia will receive. Ten of them will be the single-seat Rafale C variant and two two-seat Rafale B. Deliveries of the fighter jets are due to be completed in 2025.

The Dassault Rafale is France's fourth-generation multirole fighter aircraft. It is capable of supersonic cruising speed. The aircraft made its first flight in 1986. Since 2000, it began to be operated by the French Air Force and Navy. Now Dassault Rafale is also in service with Egypt, India and Greece.
