  • Became the Lopes' first draft pick of the Chicago Cubs when he went in the 14th round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
  • Earned second-team All-WAC honors as a relief pitcher.
  • Logged 12 saves on the year, a GCU D-I record and the second-most in program history.
  • One of only 12 pitchers nationally to record 12 or more saves on the season.
  • Earned the save by recording the final three outs to help GCU clinch its first WAC Tournament Championship with a 5-4 win over UT Rio Grande Valley. Also earned the save in GCU's tournament opener against New Mexico State.
  • Had three stretches of three consecutive appearances with a save.
  • Earned Preseason All-WAC honors as a relief pitcher.
2020 | Junior
  • Did not allow a run in 11 innings over six relief outings to lead team with spotless ERA.
  • Picked up only save of shortened season on Feb. 22 vs. Fordham, throwing two scoreless innings.
  • Gave up just one hit in four-inning scoreless relief in GCU's 18-inning win at Stanford on Feb. 28, tossing the 10th through 13th innings.
2019 | Sophomore
  • After struggling as starter to begin season, was moved to bullpen and became one of the team's most effective relief options.
  • In starts: 0-4, 10.61 ERA, 18 2/3 innings
  • In relief: 4-2, 3.12 ERA, 40 1/3 innings
  • One of just seven WAC pitchers to record multiple saves during conference play.
  • Set the tone for new bullpen role with three scoreless innings, no walks and four strikeouts in first relief appearance against Xavier on March 14, picking up a save.
  • In second bullpen appearance, used in extended relief behind a Jack Schneider rehab start against Utah on March 18. Threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and walking none while picking up first GCU victory.
  • Ended season with strong run spanning final 12 appearances, posting a 1.29 ERA.
