Un análisis de la labor del historietista en las adaptaciones de textos literarios (cuentos, novelas, fábulas, etc.) al lenguaje del cómic muestra que no es un simple ejercicio de interpretación o de representación. La comprensión de ambos sistemas semióticos, uno textual verbal y otro narrativo visual, plantea la metáfora de la traducción entre lenguajes y posiciona al dibujante de historietas como un traductor. A lo que infiere una propuesta de estudio sobre el lenguaje y qué aspectos implican la traducción intersemiótica dentro de las adaptaciones. An analysis of the work that a comic artists have to do into the adaptation of literary texts (stories, novels, fables, etc.) to comic language evidence that is not a simple exercise of interpretation or representation.
