Was Grzegorz Rasiak the greatest man who ever lived?

by Stuka » 31 Mar 2014 13:26

He made 30 appearances and scored 9 goals during his time with Reading in the 2009–2010 season. He was a firm fan's favourite and a Legend at Reading Football Club. There are plans to rename the Jazz Cafe at Madejski Stadium the Grzegorz Rasiak Bar and erect a statue in his honour outside the hotel.

What are you memories of his time with Reading? He currently plays for Warta Poznań in the 3rd tier of Polish football. Should STAR organise a fan trip to Poznan and cheer him on? We should definitely re-sign him anyway.

Grzegorz Rasiak = LEGEND

His stooping header to win us the match vs Blackpool in October/November 2009 and end a miserable run at home was majestic

But, nothing comes close to his 121st minute winner away at Torquay in front of a jubilant away end. Never, ever did I expect that wall to come tumbling down at the front of the stand, it was our very own version of the Berlin wall being dragged down as it marked the beginning of 3 gr8 years under McDermott.

Grzegorz, if you're reading this - we salute you

He was garbage just like his current eastern European replacement the one & only Pog both built to be centre forwards but sadly lacking any real passion, apart from earning the rouble/pound/euro (delete as applicable)

Greatest Memory Raziak - The wall collapsing at Torquay after he scored the winner in the last minute of extra time!!

Once we knew no one was hurt it was quite funny.. ref blew his whistle for the end of the game and we all walked out leaving a pile of rubble behind the goal!!

Thankfully the Chronicle reported didn't see that otherwise he'd be comparing it to Heysal and upsetting more Liverpudlians.

He was a close rival to Jimmy Kebe for best ever person in the world.

If I lived at the end of a street, I would paint a Northern Irish style mural on the side of my house depicting Grzegorz and Jimmy on a background of blue and white lines and lightning bolts coming out of their feet.

Would that include blue and white kerbs on the side of the road and an amended road sign showing Jimmy smashing one into a goal??
