About
Always on the Move is a memorable quote by character Obi-Wan Kenobi from 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Originating from /r/PrequelMemes subreddit, in early 2018 the image macro based on the quote saw an increase in circulation outside of the community, often used in reference to rapid changes.
Origin
On May 19th, 2005, the third installment of the Star Wars prequels premiered in the U.S[1]. In one scene in the movie, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi comments on Anakin Skywalker's actions by sighing and saying "Always on the Move".

Spread
On December 22nd, 2015 Tumblr[2] user sad-robots included a gif based on the scene in her blog post dedicated to the Star Wars prequels. On December 12th, 2016, Tumblr[3] user sappsorrow posted a meme using a screen capture from the scene; the quote by Obi-Wan Kenobi was not included.
On June 19th, 2017, Redditor[4] Mesoda posted the first known meme using the captioned image to /r/PrequelMemes subreddit (shown below, left). The post was largely unnoticed, gaining only four upvotes in six months. More posts based on the macro were made by the subreddit users in June 2017[5][6], without any getting significant traction. On March 24th, 2018, Redditor[7] Castlor used the macro in a post to /r/PrequelMemes (shown below, right), where it received over 700 upvotes in six months.

Through 2018 and 2019, multiple versions of the meme were posted to /r/PrequelMemes, including notable posts by users DirtyDan621[8] and Zee_Arr_Tee[9] (shown below). The posts received over 13,600 upvotes in three months and over 39,500 upvotes in three weeks, respectively.

Posts containing the macro also appeared on /r/HistoryMemes[10] and /r/Animemes[11] subreddits.
