CLEVELAND
– Almost 60 points separate the DI leader, Stanford, and second place Texas in the first winter LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings. The Cardinal lead with 802.75 total points, while Texas tallied 746.50 points.
 
Stanford had a strong showing in the winter championships to date with three top-10 finishes (women's basketball, women's swimming & diving and men's swimming & diving). Seven total teams earned the Cardinal points to date.
 
Texas ended the fall season in third and jumped one spot for the winter, scoring in six of 11 sports scored through last weekend. The Longhorns recorded a second-place finish in women's swimming & diving, while also placing fifth in women's basketball.
 
Rounding out the top-five is North Carolina in third with 733.50 points, Notre Dame in fourth with 698.00 points and Tennessee in fifth with 652.50 points.
 
North Carolina has scored in seven sports to date, including two top-10 showings (men's indoor track and field and men's basketball).
 
Notre Dame has scored in six sports to date, including top-10 finishes in fencing, women's basketball, men's swimming & diving and women's indoor track & field.
 
Tennessee recorded top-10 finishes in men's basketball and men's and women's swimming and diving, while also scoring points in three other sports (men's and women's track & field, women's basketball).
 
CONFERENCE
At the conference level, the ACC leads all Division I conferences with seven institutions in the top-25 – North Carolina (3rd), Notre Dame (4th), NC State (7th), Virginia (12th), Florida State (23rd), Duke (24th) and Louisville (25th).
