She’s scantily dressed to impress — people who aren’t even alive yet.
Showing off her body in a bawdy bridal gown was of utmost importance to one newlywed, who claims she donned a barely-there number on her wedding day in the name of her unborn babies.
But haters aren’t buying her mama bear-to-be act.
“POV: You wore a see-through wedding dress to teach your future daughter to be fearless,” bride Ashley Raso, 26, from Sydney, Australia, penned in the closed caption of her trending TikTok confessional.
In the clip, which has stockpiled more than 156,000 views, Raso, who tied the knot in April, is seen being stitched into a sheer frock by Australian couturiers Danny and Isabelle of the brand House of Harper.
Beneath the lacy dress, embellished with rows of beaded appliqués, Raso donned a white, strapless bralette and matching panties to conceal her private areas.
However, her midriff, thighs, back and butt cheeks were totally visible.
“I have had a passion for design and fashion all of my life,” explained the blushing bride in the caption of the post. “When I went to Danny and Isabelle with an old vision to make a see-through wedding dress, the ultimate fashion statement, [they] were instantly thrilled and on board.”
Raso added, “My future daughter will thank you one day for allowing her [mom] to be fearless and take risks that make her happy.”
And while she did, in fact, wow in her unconventional wedding wear, virtual critics viciously slut-shamed Raso — almost as ferociously as social media antagonists bashed a separate woman who recently had her cleavage on display as a guest at another wedding — over the look.
“This isn’t teaching your daughter to be ‘fearless’…… have some class or elegance on your wedding day,” spat a disapproving commenter.
“Just wear the dress, no need to pretend like it’s for a daughter,” another rebuked.
“ShluTTTY,” wrote a separate detractor, who appeared to have purposefully misspelled the word “slutty” in attempt to malign Raso’s garb.
The flak Raso received closely echoed the backlash sustained by another Australian bride, who, too, was set to digital hellfire on TikTok for wearing a “naked dress” for her recent nuptials.
But, luckily, in Raso’s case, there were a handful of naysayers who at least attempted to express their disdain with a dash of decorum.
“I love it for you, but I’d feel soooo [awkward] talking to my father-in-law and husband’s extended family in this,” chimed an attacker, punctuating their sentiments with the embarrassed-emoji.
“Maybe an afterparty dress, but walking like this next to your family on [your] special day [is] a [little] too much,” said another.
Elsewhere in the comments, fans of the transparent fit applauded Raso’s bravery with praise like, “you’re an icon” and “love this so much.”
