Viral sensation US Open beer girl Megan Lucky returning to chug this year

She’s not crying in her beer.

Megan Lucky became a viral sensation for chugging beer at the last two US Open tournaments.

Now unemployed and living back home in Ridgewood, NJ, with her parents, she’s aiming to cash in on her internet fame — and move back to the Big Apple.

“I got laid off from my corporate job back last fall and then I was traveling the world a little bit, to find myself, as cliché as that sounds,” Lucky, 27, a former recruiter, told The Post.

“I still haven’t been able to truly monetize. So I’m starting to post more on my socials.”

One obvious way to capitalize on her skill is by going after beverage sponsors.

“I’ve done a couple partnerships with alcohol brands — Truly is the most recent,” she said.

The blonde beauty, who first went viral in 2021 for guzzling a Heineken on the Jumbotron at the typically reserved tennis tournament, vowed to return to the US Open in Queens on Sept. 1.

“I don’t know what came over me … but it was this fun moment, super spontaneous and I didn’t think anything of it except to get the crowd going,” she recalled of her initial antic.

The chug quickly became a signature stunt.

Just an hour later, the camera found her again and she proceeded to guzzle the beer belonging to her boyfriend, Connecticut native Andrew Dillinger — who bought her the ticket to the match, her first ever.

Lucky had no idea she went viral until the next day when found out she was on ESPN’s SportsCenter.

“If you had told Little Megan, like, way back when, that I would be on SportsCenter, she’d be like, ‘Wow, because of track? Like, are we finally a good athlete?’ And I would be like, ‘No, we chug a beer,'” Lucky quipped.

The clip — which was also posted on the US Open’s Twitter page — was viewed by people as far as Australia, Singapore, and India.

Last year, she returned to the tournament with Dillinger, who she said is “super supportive” of her public shenanigans.

She didn’t expect to get filmed again, especially since Serena Williams was playing the last match of her career that night.

“So I was like, ‘There’s no way,'” she said.

“I remember sitting down and looking over and there was a camera guy not too far away and we had made eye contact and he was like, ‘You.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s happening.'”

The US Open shared the moment on Instagram — this time with side-by-side footage from both years, along with a time clock to show that in both instances, her chug clocked in at exactly 7:37 seconds.

“It’s the exact same time … I have no idea how that happened,” she said.

“I don’t practice.”

Lucky, who now hosts a podcast called “A Lucky Life,” won over the hearts of Instagram users and saw a drastic increase in followers both times she appeared on TV.

“I had 3,000 followers on Instagram … and then I went to 25,000,” she said.

“And then the second year, it went to 100,000.”

The University of South Carolina alum, who was a sports and entertainment management major, has been called a “cult hero,” but does get criticism for being rowdy at the button-downed US Open.

She said she’s heard comments like, “This would never happen at Wimbledon.”
