“I couldn’t be more excited to be back for my fourth year with my CMT family to host this year’s CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas,” she said. “Hosting an awards show that celebrates the music that the fans love most has been an honor, and I know this year will be another unforgettable night.”

The show, which honors the best in country music each year, will air live from the Moody Center on Sunday, April 7 at 7 p.m. CT. Paramount+ users can stream the show live and on-demand.

Performers, presenters and nominations for the show will be announced in the coming weeks, according to the CMT Awards.

Tickets are currently on sale through The Moody Center website and Ticketmaster.

It’s the second year in a row that the show will be held in Austin. Last year, guitarist and Austin native Gary Clark Jr. performed a tribute to fellow Texas music legend Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Ballerini made several statements as host in 2023. She opened the show with a tribute to shooting victims and later performed her single "If You Go Down (I'm Goin' Down Too)" with RuPaul's drag race stars Kennedy Davenport, Olivia Lux, Jan Sport and Manila Luzon about a month after Tennessee signed Senate Bill 3 and House Bill 9 into law, which ban drag performances on public property or location where children could be in attendance.
