If to press "play" in Steam a window with "play" and "support" buttons appears, if to press "play" nothing happens, window closes, some hidden process is running briefly and stops, game is not running, Steam allows to press "play" again. If to run lomse.exe directly it gives error with 0xc0000022 code. Tried with various security and comparability options. Windows 10. Reported to support, but no response by now (26 hours). I nominate the elves--the Life race. I usually play it with with my leader being the female priestess. She has some decent starting spells, but, alas, her starting fighters are as easy to kill as the fighters of the Air region. This is especially true if you start out with medium difficulty. As for hard difficulty I started one game, and the whole party was wiped out the first time we entered a level one encounter....

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out which is the easiest faith to go for in defeating Balkoth. And looking on the internet didn't help at all.

So, I've decided I want extra mages, as Life, of other faiths, so I decide to take on a Tower encounter (You know, those lvl 8 encounters that give you a "rescued" mage, thief or warrior unit.) I happen to know that the encounters are somewhat random, and further that the reward unit is *supposed* to be random. But for me, all the towers I find seem to provide either Order, Air, or Water units. Is this normal?...

I've installed the game here on Steam and am able to bring up the launcher for the game, but once I click play and the launcher closes, the screen will turn black for half a second, as though it's about to start the game, but then it immediately crashes. I've tried everything from changing compatibility to checking the DirectPlay thing in legacy features. Can anyone please help me figure out what keeps making the game crash before it can even start?
