Good vegetarian food can be quite hard to find in Venice, and so La Zucca’s vegetarian focussed menu makes this innovative restaurant stand out from most of Venice’s seafood focussed fine dining restaurants.

La Zucca is a popular but intimate restaurant with only 35 seats available inside, and 12 outside, situated on the canal by San Giacomo Square and its picturesque bridge.
There are also non-vegetarian options at La Zucca, but the restaurant’s speciality is excellent vegetarian dishes made from all natural ingredients. Popular dishes include the flan di zucca, a pumpkin flan that is topped with ricotta cheese, vegetarian lasagne, and the potato cakes.
The open kitchen means you can watch the chefs preparing the food, and an interesting, only in Venice touch is how guests can even enter the restaurant by boat.
