Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will travel to Paris on Wednesday 4 October. He will discuss current EU matters and topics concerning both Finland and France with President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne.

“A key topic for the meetings will be the promotion of competitiveness of our countries and the EU as a whole. This is vital because successful businesses create jobs and wellbeing for Europeans. Together we can strengthen European competitiveness by producing clean energy, such as nuclear power,” says Prime Minister Orpo.

Other items on the agenda include support for Ukraine, strengthening European defence and defence industries, migration, future Union enlargement, and the programme of the new European Commission, which will be appointed next year.
