Age of Mythology
From the Manufacturer
Transport to a time when heroes did battle with monsters of legend and the gods intervened in the affairs of mortal men in this real-time strategy game from the makers of the best-selling Age of Empires series. Guide one of nine ancient civilizations to greatness by commanding all aspects of your empire: gathering resources, raising massive armies, waging war against enemies, establishing profitable trade routes, building new settlements, enhancing production or military might, exploring new frontiers, and advancing through four distinct ages. In your struggle for supremacy, you can use mythological creatures like Minotaurs and Cyclopses to bolster your armies' strength. Call upon the gods for assistance in flattening enemy towns with meteors or scattering opposing troops with lightning storms. Age of Mythology is brought to life through a revolutionary 3D engine developed by Ensemble Studios and brought to the Macintosh by Westlake Interactive. The engine provides the most realistic, beautiful, and captivating world ever seen in a real-time strategy game.

you should not buy it becasue it's old a disc new laptops can't use it coause no disc slot
So much Fun I thought I should get it for my MacBook while I was away at school. The first day I had it it crashed on me time after time within 20 minutes of start up. Since then I have figured out how to play the game without it crashing much. I play simple games like 1 vs 1 or 1 vs 2 instead of the 8-10 player games that I would play on the early XP based PC.
My advise is to get the game for your PC if you have both available. If Mac is all you have, it is still a solid game. I play it on a regular basis on the Mac because I despise Windows. At the end of the day, however, Windows will play a computer game much better, the rest however, is dominated by the Mac.

The experience is far better than I originally remember, this is mostly due to the improved performance of new technology. I'd highly recommend playing this with a simple external mouse rather than Apple's trackpad/magic mouse because of how dated the game is. I've got fantastic use out of the game and it is definitely worth the price tag.
It has not crashed or had any negative results.
Delivery wise:
Estimated as a month, but it was closer to five working days (this was over xmas, and therefore doubly impressive).
Good packaging.
Overall:
I thought it was expensive (when compared to the price of the PC game, but you need to consider the game has been made accessible for Apple computers and was only intended for Windows).
6 month update:
I have played this game a hell of a lot. It's a nice contrast to the fast-paced online multiplayer games. I'd highly recommend the game, even with its price tag. The gameplay is smooth and offers a fantastic experience.
My 12 year old son bought this with his own money because he enjoyed it so much at a friends.
The friend and his neighbour have been playing it (PC version) regularly for the last 9 months, my son would play it for hours every night if I let him (I don't.) My husband also enjoys it. I would like my family back, but must admit that it appears to be mentally quite challenging and far superior to many other computer games said son has played. The graphics also look pretty good - which I gather is important.
