The psp is old but I like to get down on this game. Don't expect any 2018 graphics, but still the game looks good

If you have played previous versions of FIFA, the gameplay does not change significantly, minor adjustments to make it more real. I have been a fan of FIFA series and the reason I bought this one was because my hometown team in the Mexican league is included (Queretaro). If you have your own opinion in the FIFA vs WinningEleven debate, this one will not change your mind, you will still prefer FIFA for the realistic of the brands, names, stadiums, etc. or you will continue prefering WE.

I tried the manager career mode for the first time, not sure if appeared on this version or the FIFA06 had it, but is fun, you affect the players motivation with your comments to the press, you manage young talent, transfers, money, management expectations, line ups, etc but you still can choose between simulation or actually playing the games.

Still fun, improvements but definitely not a breakthrough in the FIFA series.

I have had so much fun with this game, it plays a whole lot better than previews FIFA's and has many additional features that make it a good investment, specially if you have a PS2 and you use the linking mode, you can carry your Manager Mode games in your PSP and link them to the PS2 to continue them on either platform.

But, everything is not good. Of all the games that I have on my PSP, it's only with this game that I've had my PSP crash 4 times. It freezes, shuts down and I have to restart again. If I hadn't turned on my AutoSave feature, I would've lost a whole lot of gaming time and points.

If this is your first taste of EA's FIFA line of games, then you will be in for a treat. If you are a fan, this review is for you.

In Manager Mode you can train your player in cool, interactive ways, but your training time is limited, and once you have used it up you cannot gain it back. This is a bitter sweet improvement on previous FIFA Manager Modes.

The gameplay is a step down. The direction stick for the PSP is terrible for fluid motion, making navigating your players difficult, and aiming your shots nearly impossible. The double-team option is much less effective than last year. When shooting a penalty kick you can only aim left or right not up or down. When you are near the goal you are given the option of pressing L for a "finesse shot". And for anyone who wishes to score a goal this is a silly option (because of the issue with aiming). And if you press L after you shoot you get a lob shot. This makes for many unexpected and very frustrating lop shots. The passing is random at best. In pinch situations I often find myself wondering who I'm going to get the ball passed towards. Even the "direct" passes go to space, which is a blessing and a curse, especially in those "rare" situaton when you want a direct pass to go directly to the intended receiever. And the "through ball" often sails past the intended target, moving him out of position. As for the AI, my only complaint is that the game often appears to have its "mind made up" way too early. When the AI steal the ball from you a lot of the time it appears as though they are sliding you away from ball, or just old fashioned kicking "through" your legs.

Many will be pleased with the game. But people like me who just wanted a verson of FIFA to play on their PSP, I think you will find yourself frustrated often. Buy the game anyway, just consider yourself warned.

HEY THERE EVERYONE, IF U ARE THINKING TWICE OF GETTING THIS GAME U SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURE SELF. THERES NO NEED TO THINK TWICE FOR THIS GAME, THIS GAME IS THE BOMB AND VERY ADDICTIVE TO PLAY ESPECIALLY WHEN U PLAY IT ON LINE WITH OTHER GAMERS. I STARTED PLAYING THIS GAME ON LINE AND HAD SOME GOOD CONFRONTATIONS WITH OTHER GAMERS WHO I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THEY ARE, THEY COULD BE RIGHT DOWN THE BLOCK FROM WHERE I LIVE OR THEY CAN BE AS FAR AS LONDON OR WHO KNOWS. THE GAME FEATURES ARE GREAT WITH A EXTREMELY LARGE AMOUNT OF TEAMS FROM DIFFERENT AREAS. 500 PLUS TEAMS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH AND U WILL SPEND HOURS TRYING TO GET EVERY TROPHY. GET THIS GAME AND U WILL GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH.

This game surely uses most of the PSP's graphic capabilities. It is beautiful and I have alot of fun playing it. The Manager's mode is simple enough to be fun also and the other game modes are suprisingly fun too. The 2 things I have found that makes me want to throw my PSP across the room is that I have had the game crash twice in very critical moments of game play and the computer always seems to get the upperhand and I could swear it cheats?! I guess it could be me imagining things too. I would suggest this game to anyone.

This one of the better games for the PSP in my opinion. It is well done with the controls being pretty logical and easy to master. The game play is smooth and fast and the fun factor is pretty high. I was surprised at how well it was done for a portable. The graphics are well done and it is fairly easy to know where you are on the playing field. This is probably the game I play most when sitting in a waiting room or traveling.
