My brother bought this game from who knows where for who knows what while i was on a gamecube binge searching for the lost and forgotten. Opening up the cruddy dvd case i saw the disk "Gotcha Force!".

Now, i've played custom Robo for DS, and i've read that there were similarities between the two so i had at least a tiny bit of expectation as i started out the single player mode. One of the bots/borgs you start with is your one of a kind G-Red who boasts a jack of all trades stats. The more you battle, more chances you'll get a borg, multiple borgs, or data crystals that have to collected in set in order to create a usually powerful borg. I have had this game for a while and it's still very tough to collect them all. Various tribes of borgs have their unique traits and quirks, so mix and match whatever fits your play style, just make sure you have enough energy to fit them all in your team.

The battles take place on an open plane with 3 dimensional movement up and down, left and right. You opponents can battle you one on one, two on two, or completely outnumber you, the strategies you use will make all the difference in winning by a landslide or surviving with only a silver of health left, i've been there and the stress and tension is.amazing. Story mode offers a lot of missions to take down, and sometimes opportunities to capture strong borgs appear so don;t miss them. Multiplayer mode is a blast all on its' own, no questions there, competition get fierce too but that's all in good fun.

Altogether, the combat is different than anything i've played on the cube, and i'm not afraid to admit that the battles in story mode absolutely destroyed me , but i got good enough to progress to the point where i was able to power up my precious Red.Simple for some, an amazing goal conquered for me. I love this title and thank the Cube and Capcom for pushing out a twinkling star like this.

Played this game for HOURS! One of my most favorite games on the cube other than smash bros.

Its like pokemon where every battle is a gym battle. You fight other robots and collect them after you beat them. There are a ton of bots! The game is just a blast and i suggest everyone get them game now!

You can even have multiple teams for multiplayer!
Only sucky part is the controls (it is a old game afterall).

Even though I got this item in like 2012 and I'm reviewing this in 2018, the game is still really good. Plus its gone up in price a ton since I bought it then so that's a nice bonus too.

Game has alot action with some replay value!

There over a hundred different borgs you can capture and many
secret borgs which can be unlocked! One cute thing about
the this game is that all of the borgs are only as big as
a palm-sized toy! So you have all these toys robots doing
battle in real world settings. If you fight in a bedroom
or a park, all the objects look huge in comparison to the
borgs size; it just looks cute. Before each battle you can
manage your borg collection and put together different
combinations to battle the enemy. Fighting with the right
borgs will make a difference in the outcome of the battle.
Some borgs are good at shooting long distance, but they
are not good at close combat. Other borgs are good at close
combat but do poorly against enemies with long-range weaponry.
The arenas you fight look cool and give you plenty of space
to manuver. In a single player game, you can team up with
CPU allies which fight along your side, but you can also
play with a friend in co-op mode! The action is intense
and I simply loved the variety of borgs in the game. Each
of them looks unique and some posses cool weapons and even
powers! I was simply amazed at the amount of characters
that the creators put into this game, they really pulled
out all the stops on their imaginations. You can also
view your borg collection and look at their stats. I was
very impressed by this amazing game that not many people
may not know about, they don't know what they are missing!
Gotcha Force comes pretty close to being a perfect action
game except for one huge flaw: the terrible camera system.
It is sad to find out that one of the best games ever has
one of the worst camera systems ever! I just hope they
make a sequel someday and correct the problem. If you
can overlook this flaw you will love Gotcha Force!
