I don't think I really have to go into the merits of the show because basically you wouldn't be looking at this review if you didn't know about Inuyasha already. This game really doesn't offer much in the way of a fighting game or AMAZING graphics. It's a sprite based fighting game with virtually less characters than we have come to expect in normal fighting games BUT what this game does have is great classic 2D fighting at its finest with characters that you know and love. In my opinion this is the better of the Inuyasha games to own because it features pretty much all the same characters as the Feudal Combat game for PS2 but it is far more developed in story and has WAY more replay value. In short if you want a graphics or english dubs don't get this game. If you want to have a lot of fun playing your favorite characters and wailing on other characters this is the game for you.

I love this game! I'm going to write my review based on the time it was made and other games compared to it, i will not compare it to now PS4 quality. I played this game originally when i was really young, and i LOVED inuyasha. I still do actually. And my friends and i would play this for hours after watching the show on cartoon network at night. So it's great for anyone who wants to feel nostalgic also if you have no issue with graphics or you love 8bit type art, this game is perfect for you. i personally love old games and their styles. Also the music is really good. Very easy mechanics and something that I'm glad to have in my gaming library. Thank you!

This game is, in a way, your rather standard fighting, PS1 game. You stand facing your opponent in a 2D environmnent and battle it out. There are several things that make this game better than just your average fighters.
- Duh, it's InuYasha!
- Because it comes from a TV show, there is kind of a plot that goes with it, and it keeps the game more interesting.
- The plot changes as you earn new characters to play with.
- Each character has their own special moves and abilities.
- Hint hint - if you get the game, definitely try to get Kouga. If you use his Demon Wind attack over and over, it's impossible for your opponent to even move. Yeah, it's a little cheap, but that's okay if the other guy's been whippin' [you] all day. Besides that, Kikyo's really the best, but Sesshoumaru rocks too.
- The controls are never hard to remember.
- There are several bonus things to unlock that would really appeal to InuYasha fans, but I'm not going to give away what they are.

I am so happy I got this game. I know it is outdated and all that but I am a HUGE Inuyasha collector.. at least I'm trying to be, can't always afford everything there is but this was definitely worth it. I've been wanting it since I was little.

A pretty game with slow and chunky movements. The fighting is not polished at all, which is really sad. I wanted to enjoy it, as I am a big fan of the show. But, I found it too hard to look pass the flaws in the game dynamics. Hard to tell if it was limitations from the system or just a sloppy game. Slow movements, unbalanced fighters and clunky controls made it hard to have a good time in Fudal Japan.

If you've read my review over Marvel vs. Capcom 2 then you know I have given it the title if Possibly The Best, After playing this game I decided I had to review it that way I would have both ends of the fighting games world. Amazon Reviewers love this game so my ranking is going to take a hit but, so be it someone has to state the obvious about this game. As said in the last sentence Amazon reviewers just love this game reason is, they're Inuyasha fans. Don't get me wrong I love Inuyasha and own a collection of the DVD's; I'm just not a blind leader of the hanyou I guess. For some reason the plot gets a lot of praise, I for one have no idea why. Shippou and Kagome fight because... Kagome runs out of snacks, yes folks, the people at Bandai really put their heads together for this plot. Yeah you're collecting shards and yes they have a little explanation before you start fighting, does that really count? That's all from the show, and as soon as the little explanation to you collecting shards is over and you actually start fighting the plot disappears, the story does not unfold at all. This is a fighting game however so bad plot is extremely forgivable. Then there are the controls... which are way too simple. People may list simple controls under the heading of good things about the game but me, not if they're this simple. I've played RPG's with more complex controls. Characters seemed limited with a low number of moves and special moves that are way below spectacular, extremely below. The difficulty of this game is just amazing; buy this game and less than 15 minutes later it's possible to already have beaten the game with at least one character, maybe less than that. Characters look horrible, why wasn't there an Inuyasha game for the PS2 to be brought to our shores? Is this just a game to try and squeeze the PSX for all it's worth? The game does look thrown together. Couldn't they have at least translated? The only good thing I can think of about this game is Dream Fairy Tale and the fact that yes its Inuyasha.

I don't give a flip if it is 2D graphics! I love InuYasha. I don't personally like fighting games but hey...it's niffty, it's thrift, it's InuYasha, and it has ACTUALLY been released in the US unlike more than half of the Anime games.
It's one of those things to add to your collection of Anime junk/collection wheter or not you really like the show or not, but I find it's worth it cause I love the characters (most of 'em anyway.)
I recomend it, but whether you (the reader) will buy it is your choice.
