I've only played it briefly so far, but I think that this is a good game. I don't care for the music very much, but I guess that's a matter of taste, so I'm leaving the rating at five stars. The graphics still hold up on this game like many GameCube games, in my opinion. It doesn't match the latest Xbox or PlayStation graphics, but it's still very good.
When I was younger, I owned this game on the Nintendo DS, and playing it on a console is a nice upgrade.

My family watches the racer, roots for him or her. It is great rainy, snowy day fun. Some of the music selections are not good for family listening but if I remember correctly the lyrics can be muted and the music fits the races. You should really give this a try if you are into racing games.
