I was interested in the XZL Karaoke Machine because it came with two wireless microphones, and seemed like an easy way to have a basic mic/speaker setup for small groups, parties, and dinners.
The microphones connect to the speaker automatically, no pairing or setup was needed (the microphones are UHF, not bluetooth). Microphone level and echo can be set for the pair, which is fine for simple setup.
If you buy this machine for Karaoke, you’ll want to have a screen that displays the karaoke graphics. I think this is great for casual use, you can use a Karaoke app on your tablet, or just play files from Youtube on your tablet or phone in a pinch. The bluetooth speaker connects to your device, and the microphone audio combines for the singing. The included remote has some great features for using as a karaoke machine, there is a button to make song vocals quieter if you want to sing over any music track.
As a bluetooth speaker this is a fun, portable device, the lights are a nice novelty, the included remote allows you to set to a single color scheme instead of the multicolor effect that is the default when powered on. It doesn’t get terribly loud, so I would not use this for a large party room where the speaker needs to compete with ambient crowd noise.
Finding out that I can also use this to record audio from the included microphones was a nice surprise. I could see using this at a dinner party, using the microphone to make remarks and recording the occasion at the same time.
There are aux, microphone and guitar inputs, as well as the ability to play files from USB or MicroSD, but I did not use those options, the bluetooth worked fine for me.

Always want to but a karaoke machine for our family singing time (“competition”). This one comes in a portable shape and even my 5-year-old can carry it here and there. There are two connecting way with this machine (see my video and photo). The sound is good and with two microphones, glad the kids don’t need to “fight” about whose turn it is.
