La Centenaria 1779 Wedding Photography – Natalie & Craig

Natalie and Craig had a destination wedding at the stunning La Centenaria 1779 (formerly Masia Ribas) wedding venue, which is situated just outside Barcelona (Natalie & Craig’s favourite city). Their wedding was beautiful in a gorgeous setting and was a joy to photograph. The wedding ceremony took place outside in Masia Ribas’ gardens shaded by tall pine trees.

The day had a theme of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ which was evident during the ceremony as Natalie & Craig, together with their daughter, each poured coloured powder into a bottle to form a “love potion”.

The ceremony was followed by a Cava & canape reception during which Natalie & Craig’s friends and family were entertained by a Flamenco guitarist.

After dinner, the bride and groom played “The Shoe Game”. There was so much laughter. If you haven’t heard of it, this is how it works… two chairs are placed back-to-back for the bride and groom to sit on. The couple removes both of their shoes and trade a shoe with each other so that they are each holding one of the bride’s shoes and one of the groom’s shoes. Then a designated person asks a series of questions about the newlyweds and their relationship (i.e.. “Who is the best looking?”, “Who said ‘I love you’ first?”).  After each question, the couple holds up the shoe representing the person they think is the best answer to the question. It’s very entertaining and great to photograph!

Andy’s professionalism on our wedding day was amazing and his experience allowed us to actually fully enjoy having our photos taken. The photo sessions did not take up too much of our time, meaning that we were able to relax with all the guests and didn’t feel we were being dragged from one photo location to another. The results speak for themselves: beautiful group and family shots that capture what our day was really about! We are especially pleased about all the detail shots that were taken and would recommend Andy to any bride and groom who’d like to have a professional photographer with creative ideas.
