Description
Philodendron scandens Brazil is a variety of Philodendron scandens very popular due to the striking color of its leaves. It has numerous bright green leaves with one or several yellow stripes, approximately 5 to 10 cm in length. Some leaves have an intense green variegated color. With a hanging habit, it is used as a houseplant in hanging pot holders or shelves. It can be grown indoors with medium humidity (50-70%). It is a resistant plant highly valued by Araceae collectors.
- Light: very bright areas but avoiding direct sun
- Irrigation: moderate, avoid waterlogging, water when the substrate dries out slightly. Requires medium ambient humidity (50 – 70%)
- Temperature range: 12 - 27 ºC
- Substratum: Loose substrate rich in organic matter, we recommend our substrate for orchids and araceae
