Cozy and ancient apartment from the 1400s located in the heart of one of the most evocative neighborhoods in the historic center of Rome. The building is located 200 meters from the Pantheon, 500 meters from Piazza Navona, 500 meters from Piazza Campo de Fiori, 600 meters from Piazza Venezia, 800 meters from the Trevi Fountain and is very close to other attractions that the historic center of Rome. The apartment is located on the second floor of a historic building with a lift. Entirely well furnished, it is composed of: a welcoming, fully equipped and comfortable living area with sofa bed and fireplace, a kitchen with induction hob, washing machine and fridge, a mezzanine (connected to the first floor via about ten steps) with a bed double bed, television, air conditioning and bathroom (including all services). The building is subject to the protection of Italian cultural heritage since it was previously an ancient historic convent in the center of Rome. The street itself has very ancient origins, this is demonstrated by the presence in the middle of it of a spectacular arch from the Roman era (about 10 meters high), which gives its name to the "donut" street of the same name. This is the only remaining section of the ancient "Baths of Agrippa" (built by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, son-in-law of Augustus, between 25 and 19 BC, they are the oldest public baths in Rome). Under the left section of the arch (donut) there is a beautiful Renaissance style marble tabernacle with a nineteenth-century copy of the miraculous "Madonna of the Rosary" particularly venerated because she performed the miracle of moving her eyes in 1796 ("this miracle was renewed for three weeks”), due to the French invasion of the Papal States.
