Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Amazing views from the appartment, very good bed, lots of quiet and privacy, and further more everything we needed. The place was very clean. A gem.

We are Andrea, Marina and Lucrezia and we are happy to welcome you to Il Colombaio. Our property lies on the side of a hill covered with woods and olive groves and includes 3 buildings: the farmhouse, the barn and the stable. The farmhouse is inhabited by our family, while the barn and the stable have been transformed into the two cottages Il Fienile and La Loggia. The cottages are small independent structures entirely built of stone, terracotta and beamed ceiling: each one has its own identity enhanced by the furnishings, an ancient family legacy. They are perfect for couples looking for privacy, relaxation and experiencing real life in the Tuscan countryside; both cottages have a private outdoor area and all the space you desire in the surrounding garden and among the olive trees. The pool is located in an isolated position. It is shared by the guests of the property and is open from June to September. We are also happy to welcome guests traveling by electric car, who can use the charging station available inside the property.
Il Colombaio is located in the surroudings of Cavriglia, a small town at the gates of the Chianti, in the historic heart of Tuscany, equally distant from the cities of Florence, Siena and Arezzo which are approximately 40 km away. Although Il Colombaio is located in the open country, it is only 1,5 km far from Cavriglia, 20 minutes walking. In Cavriglia you will find all the essential services: coffee bars, restaurants, food shops, bank, chemist, gas station.
