Hunter: The Reckoning - Father Esteban Cortez ~ Judge Part 4 FINAL (No Death)

  • last year
Character: Father Esteban Cortez
Creed: Judge

Hunter: The Reckoning is probably the first twin shooter game and one of the rare 4-players games at the point when it was produced back in 2002. I grew up with the XBOX version, so when I recorded this in the gamecube emulator, I realised the difficulty was toned down. I am not sure if it is just me grown up now playing this or the gamecube version is really easier by a little as I recalled I can't even survive without dying, but one thing for sure is that the XBOX version didn't have the auto-fire feature. This game may be dull if played solo but it is actually an underrated gem when playing with friends in multiplayer co-op.

This video is fully Judge's run. Father Esteban Cortez is the better 2 character that I would recommend to play solo, or duo 2-player co-op (With the other been Defender).
The reason why I recommend him is because he is an all-rounder character. However, beginner players should consider using Defender. Judge should be left for the expert players as his magic/conviction is the best, starting with word of power which can destroy harder enemies with just the light producing from his hand. One should not under-estimate his crossbow. Although it is the weakest base range weapon for all 4 characters, his crossbow is best against the blood-thirsty vampire ladies. Just 2 shots and such vile creatures are dead, but it requires a lot of machine gun/shotgun ammo for other characters to deal with them.
Father Esteban Cortez is definitely the best character to use in the game if you know how to use your powers wisely and efficiently. He will have burden that freezes the enemies, extremely good when you are surrounded, and eventually the Rejuvenate which heals him (Though I wish he gets this earlier) to heal himself. I don't think he can heal others because there is not enough levels for him to level up higher, so Samantha (Defender) is sadly the only one who can heal others.

As stressed earlier, this game is not meant to change characters halfway. Please stick to the same character as this game is heavily RPG despite action style.

Machine Shop - 0:00
Death Row 1 (Carpenter Boss) - 5:06
Death Row 2 (Nathaniel Arkady Werewolf Boss) - 20:15
Main Yard 3 - 27:18
Meal Hall 2 - 28:52
Main Yard 4 - 30:41
Mansion Exterior 3 -34:17
Mansion Interior 2 - 35:29
Attic (Evolved Warden FINAL BOSS) - 36:38
Good Ending (Rescue more than 50 innocents) - 39:00
Bad Ending (Rescue less than 50 innocents) - 40:00

BTW, I did not miss the 3 innocent at the final boss stage. I deliberately did not want save them as it will make the final boss extremely hard and impossible to beat without dying once they are saved.
