L'inquisitore BACK TO WINES

L'inquisitore

The name "L'Inquisitore" ("The Inquisitor") evokes a sense of challenge, a challenge in producing a wine from an international grape variety at a time when critics and many enthusiasts prefer indigenous grapes. Hence, the Italian back label clarifies: "The inquisitor is you, who judge this wine even before tasting it."

This Sauvignon Blanc comes from an old vineyard and was only brought to light with the 2016 vintage, with a very limited production of bottles. The result was incredibly surprising and exciting, so much so that it pushed us to continue the production of this engaging, distinct, and extremely captivating wine.

"The inquisitor is you, who judge this wine even before tasting it."

The label design refers to the legendary secret order of the "Rosicrucians," whose existence has never been proven. According to legend, the order was founded in 1407 by a German pilgrim upon his return to Germany.

The Latin phrase appearing on the label, "Dat Rosa Mel Apibus," is one of the hermetic mottos of the Rosicrucians, meaning "the rose gives honey to the bees".
