The Best game of its Genre?.....Of coures, how many bowling games do you know of? THE GOOD.... Nonetheless, this is a very "real" game, as far as the phsyics of the pins, balls, etc. There's 3 diff coures and a Wide virity of characters, and the opition to change them (the charaters). Your character will improve as you use him/her. Tournments have diffrenet level (of difficulty) and you can save your tournment game (and characters). The lanes even "dry out" and the "throwing" system is very techinal, and you've the opition to change your ball size, colour, and covering, all those should really excite real bowling fans. The graphics, considering it was made in 97, are pretty impressive and sort of smooth. In game music can be changed from rock to lounge, or you can turn it off, which ever you pick, you'll still hear everyone else in the bowling alley, whispering gossip, critizing people, etc, which gives the "I'm at a bowling alley" effect. Also you can play with up to six human players.Anouther thing, the game does relive you from just bowling, through the on-screen charaters, which will do some pretty funny, unexpected things every once and a while. THE BAD.... This game is impressive and the fact you can change everything from the matiral your balls made of, to how much you hook it will impress some, but confuse others. The "throwing system" I refered to as technical, is the same way, how far you go back, where you let go, takes some getting used to (the first 4 times I tryed I chouldn't get the ball down the lane). The graphic where VERY impressive, when I bought it back in 98, but compared to the 7th, even 6th genration of gaming, its not up to par. Also I talked about comic relif in "the good," and this game needed it badly. OVERALL..... I'd give this game a 9/10. If your a bowling fan, theres no reason you shouldn't by this game, defently the best bowling game sim I've played. The graphic aren't horrriedly bad (good enough, when combines with the sound & music, makes you feel as if your there). If you don't like bowling, this, of coures, isn't your game. If your into pure arcde, funning, fast game play this probeably isn't your game either, but I'd still give it a try if I were you. PRICE.... I payed $7.98 total for this game, and to me, it was worth every penny of it, even tho I not a bowling fan. If your a bowling fan, you should get this game, asap. If you not so much, I'd pay nothing more than $15 total for it. If you hate bowling, I wouldn't by this game (duh).Read full review
