I have played every series and this one is the most enjoyable because of the varied missions and revamped easier controls. The enemy AI has been improved as well. Other added features I like is the system link and xbox live capabilities. You can always find someone playing online. The graphics do not stand out in this series but the gameplay is very enjoyable with friends. If you enjoy teamwork with freinds then give thiss game a chance. All the same characters are back with one additional female sniper.
C:GT is the best installment of what could be said to be the greatest squad-based shooter series ever for current generation gaming consoles. Button configuration is straightforward and logical, movement is fluid for the most part, and you can even commandeer vehicles here and there. The missions are well varied, taking you all over the globe to do battle in many diverse areas. And the weapon selection is pretty deep as well. Also featured is a great coop campaign, via split screen or Link. Personally, I use a 100 foot Cat5 cable to link my XBox to my neighbor's, and with two copies of the game and headsets, this game ROCKS! Only beef with this one, as with the previous Conflict: games, is when played two-player on splitscreen coop, the only way to divide the screen is down the middle, leaving you with not much peripheral vision. But still great for those who do not use two XBox setups and a Link cable. If you want great value and tremendous action from a first/third person squad shooter, this is the one. You may want to go get Conflict: Desert Storm II Back to Baghdad first, also a great one from awhile back and a fitting prologue to C:GT.Read full review
Pleasingly surprised by the multiple options in tactics and deployment of individual team members.Weapons fire is awesome. Strategy in attacking bad guys almost endless.Movement is smooth. So many weapons to choose from. Enemy is aggressive. Love the ability to jump in and out of windows, 3 shooting positions, 2 primary weapons plus sidearm and grenades. Only issue is split screen co-op is hard to get used to with the side by side screen. Top and bottom screens give great view. You should be given the option. Ability to climb onto and use or disable armored vehicles would be great. The Graphics aren't the best I've seen, but they are pretty good! Really like the ability to order one or more squad members complete a task or movement. Being able to creep, walk or run without pressing additional button(s) is a plus. By simply applying more pressure to the trigger moves your character from creep, walk, run. The stealth attack with a combat knife is unique and rare among shooters. Reminds me of Splinter Cell. I really like the fact that I can play this with my kids without all the vile profanity. Although not many people think this is a big deal, it is if you're a parent and would like to enjoy the with your kids. I take my hat off to the developers who decided this game did not need any of that. Thanks guys from an appreciative parent. This game was recommended to me by another father who had been enjoying it with his son.Read full review
My 11-year-old son and I rented this one from Blockbuster. It's so good I don't want to take it back. The missions are long and complex. The graphics are great. The player movement and agility is great. The interactions between the squad are realistic. The enemies are NOT stupid which makes shooting them much more challenging than other shooter games. I'm definately buying this one!!!
My husband and son are video game junkies !! They found the "Vietnam" version of this game and loved it, so I bought the whole series !! They say that "Global Terror" is one of the funnest games they've ever played !! It's challenging and the graphics are AWESOME!! There are 3 or 4 levels of difficulty and the scenery keeps changing !! We give it an A++ !!
