The COVID-19 pandemic has hit children and young people very hard, depriving them of sociality and other fundamental freedoms. Those minors who find themselves in a situation of fragility and vulnerability such as children who suffer from mental illness were particularly affected. These youngsters have been deprived of numerous activities and aggregating moments, seeing their vital space and sociality, especially in the adolescent period, shrink.

In response to this emergency, ECOS realises the “Fuori Tutti” project, aimed at organizing a series of outdoor activities of a playful, recreational and educational nature for young people between 12 and 19 years of age in the “La Casa” therapeutic rehabilitation residential community.

In favor of these young people, a series of outdoor activities is organized. These activities, which include sports practice, expressiveness, culture, and horticulture, are inserted within the therapeutic paths of the boys, in order to:

• stimulate their participation and involvement;
• develop their physical, intellectual, emotional and social potential;
• create moments of aggregation and sharing capable of triggering lasting group dynamics over time;
• create moments of collaboration and cooperation between children to achieve common goals;
• stimulate children to a greater contact with nature and with the outside world;
• stimulate the discovery of the places and culture of the surrounding area.
