The Heritage Walks were offered during the Christmas period and were very successful, so here is the spring edition.
Why Heritage? Because they take place in the area of Florence that UNESCO has included in the list of World Heritage Sites, or in the vicinity of it in the area defined as the Core zone: this is the historical centre, within the circle of the ring roads, extended in 2021 to San Miniato al Monte.
The places that are proposed are not taken for granted: these are very evocative itineraries designed to deepen knowledge of the city, its urban fabric and the landscape areas that make Florence so special.
The Heritage Walks start precisely from the 'limit' of the UNESCO zone, from what remains of the city walls: the towers, the gates, the fortresses. They are offered from 30 March to 26 May, with three different itineraries in two shifts: in the morning at 11 a.m. with a guide in Italian, in the afternoon at 3 p.m. with a guide in English, in order to make these interesting appointments available also to tourists in the city.
The visits last two hours and are free of charge thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Tourism 'UNESCO Sites and Creative Cities Fund'.
