  • Characteristics and uses

    CHARACTERISTICS
    Incappucciato Lemon takes its name "Incappucciato" for the production of isolated fruits with the vein of the leaves that are warped downwards.
    The peel has a medium thickness with the flavedo that is rich in essential oils and has a very intense aroma.
    The juice is abundant with high acidity and it has a very strong flavour.
    Its flowers are white with violet shades.
     
    USES
    Like the other varieties of Femminello, the Incappucciato Lemon is used mainly as a condiment, flovouring ingredient and it has a high decorative value.
    In cosmetics, lemon juice softens and moisturizes the skin, strengthens the nails and makes the hair shiny.

  • Blooming and fruit ripening

    BLOOMING
    It blooms in approximately three periods:

    First-flower lemons: first blooming from March to June
    Bianchetto lemons: second blooming from June to the end of July
    Verdello lemons: the third blooming is from August to October.

    FRUIT RIPENING
    In correspondence with the three blooming periods, the fruit ripens:

    September/October of the same year of first blooming
    from March to June of the year following the second blooming
    April to September of the year following the third blooming
