Tibetan bridge of Laviano: price and booking

The Tibetan bridge in Laviano was a great experience. Even twofold if I have to tell the truth, because in addition to the bridge (immersed in the Sele valley) there is also the Castello . It is located exactly next to it and is included in the tour! But soon I will explain the details and how to get to Laviano.

Tibetan bridge of Laviano: suspended at a height of 80 meters

80 meters that separate you from the ground, this is the height of the Tibetan Bridge of Laviano . It was inaugurated in 2015 and has brought many tourists to this small town. Laviano is located in the Salerno area and surrounded by greenery. The bridge is connected to a series of nature trails that make the area interesting. Especially for trekking lovers like me. As I have already told you in the preface, the Castle is also the setting for it.

Castle of Laviano: what remains from the 1980 earthquake

The medieval Castle of Laviano survived (in part) that earthquake of 1980 . It is a real testimony of the ancient town of Laviano. In the past, regional funds were also invested to restore its splendor.

Coming to what it is today and is, in my opinion, just as beautiful as it is!
When you start the tour, there are two directions that you can follow: the one for the Castle and the bridge. I recommend that you visit the Castle first. The reason is that, once you cross the bridge, you cannot visit the Castle anymore. Because you will find yourself on the other side of the valley.

The Castle can be visited both externally and internally! Below you will find many things that are part of the history and culture of Laviano! Very nice is a reproduction of Laviano in miniature , it seems to be almost a nativity scene.

The open side is characterized by this small square with a well in the center. Very impressive and brings to mind the court life ! Continuing towards the city walls we overlook Laviano, surrounded by greenery!

As for the reservation, it is not mandatory ! (Although in coronavirus time it is / was welcome for the entry of a maximum of 50 people at a time). At the entrance they will provide you, if you don't have any, gloves and masks . Instead, the cost is symbolic and is 2 euros per person!

How to get to Laviano

Getting to Laviano is not easy by public transport! But you get there! What I recommend is to go there by your own means, also because the bus frequency is low!

If you want to go there by your own means, just set the destination on google maps. By public transport you can get there with the bus that leaves from eboli ! I leave you the link on how to get to Laviano by public transport .

Conclusions

Well what to say, as an experience it is not bad and it opened my mind a lot, also because of Tibetan bridges Italy is full. So it was just the first in a long line to visit! I hope the article was useful to you and that it could be a starting point for a different trip out of town.
