Ring around the World - RETREAM announces the release of a new Commodore Amiga game!

RETREAM are certainly no strangers on Indie Retro News, releasing games on different systems such as SkillGrid, QUOD INIT EXIT IIo, ArtPazz and even MAH. Well here we are with another RETREAM update, as they have contacted us to let you know, that they have released a new game for the Commodore Amiga called ' Ring around the World'; A top down adventure game which requires an Amiga with a minimum of 1 MB of CHIP RAM and Kickstart 1.3. Although they do recommended 1.3 MB of storage space and keyboard.

Creeping Me Out Hex Night - Eagerly awaited Amiga platformer by Mixelslab gets a new AGA demo build

For those of you who are looking forward to Mixel's upcoming Scorpion Engine developed title of 'Creeping Me Out : Hex Night. Then you might like this latest news story that's just been sent to us by Saberman. As we have been told a new demo has been released featuring bug fixes to make the game more enjoyable, as well as a separate AGA build with some optimizations, new backgrounds and effects. To coincide with this demo update, Saberman has also done a video showing the game in action.

Temptations - An UPDATED Amiga 1200/CD32 port(?) demo of an MSX game released back in 1988

You might like this Amiga news story that's just been sent to us by Saberman, as we've been told that an EAB member of 'S0Y', has released an UPDATED demo of a work in progress game called 'Temptations'. A game which according to the developer, is a Redpill Amiga conversion of an MSX game that was released way back in 1988 by Topo Soft. To coincide with this news story, Saberman has also done a gameplay video for you to view if you wish to see if the game is any good before downloading the new demo.

Geo's Quest 2 In Search of Queen Lorraine - Final version of a graphic adventure game for the Amiga

Something slightly different for today's retro heads up instead of all the arcade games we've been mentioning over the last couple of weeks. As we've recently found out through Saberman, that if you head on over to the Aminet website or the EAB forums linked below, you can download Paul Golian's latest Amiga game of Geo's Quest 2 In Search of Queen Lorraine; the final version of a graphic adventure game which originally appeared unfinished back in early 2002.

Maria Renard's Revenge - Eagerly awaited Amiga Castlevania fan game for the Amiga is finally here!

In April of last year we gave you the heads up of a brand new game coming to the Amiga, which had Castlevania vibes and was the creators very first attempt at using the Scorpion Engine. Well fast forward to today and thanks to Earok and Saberman giving us the heads up through Facebook, we have been told that not only has the Scorpion developed Castlevania fan game of 'Maria Renard's Revenge' been released, but you can view the very latest footage of the game below!

Settle The World - A Colonization fan game for the Amiga by Theo Theoderich gets an update

If you remember playing Sid Meier's Colonization back in the day, then it might be worth keeping an eye on Theo Theoderich's in development game of Settle The World. A game that isn't just inspired by that classic, but according to the creator is a turn based building and trading game with you versus another player. Although Theo does state "Single Player mode is also planned, but it will be all the more difficult because there are no trading partners as of yet".

Bertie’s Animal Kingdom - A rather rare Amiga game has been recovered for all to enjoy

A great piece of news has just hit our inbox, as we've recently been informed by our good friends Games that Weren't, that GTW together with Darryl Sloan and Ivan S have made available the rather rare educational title of Bertie’s Animal Kingdom for the Commodore amiga. As in the words of Games that Weren't "Our next entry is for a title which may well have been released, but in very low numbers, due to being quite late into the Amiga 1200’s life and an educational title (further limiting its potential audience)".

A game that was originally released back in 1985 in the Arcades and then ported over to the NES and Playstation. To coincide with this cool news story, we have some early footage of the game which is being created using Earok's Scorpion Engine.

Agonman - A new Amiga AGA game developed using the RedPill game engine


Another Amiga announcement for you all, as Saberman has just informed us through Facebook, that a new game play video has been shown for the previously announced Amiga game of 'Agonman' by PixorraGames. A game which puts you in the boots of Johnny, that has to battle dangerous monsters and a winged demon to return to his own time and the defence of the Earth. In light of this news, you can either view the video below or check out the game which is downloadable as a name your own price.

Creeping Me Out Hex Night - Upcoming Amiga 1200/CD32 platformer by Mixelslab gets a new A1200 Demo!

If you've been following all the developments regarding Mixel's upcoming Amiga platformer of 'Creeping Me Out : Hex Night. A Scorpion Engine created Platformer that doesn't just feature complex levels, but a story, enemies, big bosses and dangerous traps. Then you might like this latest update that's been sent to us by Saberman! As the creator has just released a new demo which he says features much better game performance and is now working on A1200s with no fast RAM.

Pinball Dreams 2 - Tukinem's upcoming Blitz 2 port of Pinball Dreams 2 for the Amiga gets an update!

As we said before, either you're at home or out with a laptop, the best thing about Pinball is anyone can pick up and play. From very young Children to grown Adults, Pinball has always been such a joy to play by so many people across the world. Elf Spirit Hunters - A short Amiga/Windows Mini game from Earok!

Even though Christmas has come and gone (that was quick!), there's one game that might be worth a play and it's Earok's latest Amiga and Windows mini game of 'Self Spirit Hunters'. While the game wont win any awards for best game of 2023, it's still worth a play as it has inspirations to Ghostbusters and was created for the Toybox Jam 4. To coincide with this news, Saberman was kind enough to do a short gameplay video viewable below.

Green Beret - A retro classic for the Amiga as an Arcade(ish) conversion gets a December update

Green Beret(Rush n Attack) was an action arcade game released by Konami in 1985. It is remembered for its Cold War setting and its reliance on the player using a knife or even a flame thrower to dispatch enemies. Well if you liked this game at the Arcades or the 8bit ports such as the Amstrad or C64, you'll pleased to learn that the previously announced Arcade(like) conversion of Green Beret which is still being developed by Dante Mendes for the Amiga, has since got a December update!

Cecconoid - Cybernoid inspired Amiga game gets new footage and it looks super cool!

If you were a gamer back in the late 80's or early 90's, chances are you would've played ' Cybernoid '; a shoot 'em up published in 1987 by Hewson Consultants that is regarded by many as a very challenging, albiet very enjoyable game with fabulous music by Jeroen Tel or Jochen Hippel (ST). Well if you do remember the game and did have a chance to play it, it might be worth keeping an eye on Hoffman's Cybernoid inspired game of 'Cecconoid': A high quality game which is coming to the Amiga early 2023!

Turrican 2 as an MS-DOS to AMIGA AGA conversion gets a release! (HOT NEWS)

Another great retro gaming story for all of our readers , as we've recently found out through an itch io page update, that Muzza has finally released the eagerly awaited MS-DOS to Amiga conversion of the classic action shooter game Turrican II. The second game in the Turrican series, which was originally developed by Factor 5 in the 90's and released on the Amiga, C64, CDTV, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum, and later for DOS.
