Overview
Levico Terme, in the heart of Valsugana, is renowned above all for its thermal waters, which, together with those of nearby Vetriolo, are internationally renowned for their therapeutic and regenerative qualities. At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, the town was a point of reference for European aristocrats who came here to recuperate from their labours at court. Witnesses of this noble past are the 19th-century palaces and the Habsburg Spa Park, which hosts the traditional Christmas market in winter. Today the village welcomes tourists from all over Europe, who spend their holidays on Lake Levico, a stretch of water that has been awarded the 'European Blue Flag', thanks to the quality of its bathing water and services.
