The associated Piedmontese winegrowers of Vinchio Vaglio Serra have been producing high quality red wines for over fifty years, among which stands out the red wine Sei Vigne Insynthesis produced from Barbera grapes.

Wine cooperatives play a very important role in many parts of Italy, and this also applies to Piedmont, a region well known for its numerous and prestigious private houses, but also for a series of highly professional and well-managed cooperatives. For many families, with small-scale possessions, the costs of the equipment for the cellar and the sale of the final product would make survival impossible.

In most cases the cooperatives were founded to give the many small landowners (since in Piedmont land ownership in general and the possessions of vineyards in particular are quite fragmented) the opportunity to work the land in a way economically advantageous, the only way to preserve these areas as a suitable place for both living and working. The Cantina di Vinchio and Vaglio Serra , historic cooperative based in Vinchio, near Nizza Monferrato , has always been known for the quality of Barbera grapes grown within its borders.

The marvelous hills and the excellent expositions complete the work; but the key factor in the excellence of the grapes is, in all probability, the soil: with less clay and more sand in its composition, it gives Barbera the classic breadth, warmth and generosity, but with a greater fragrance and finesse widely recognized and appreciated among connoisseurs of this wine.

Founded in 1959, the cooperative has grown considerably over the decades and now has about 200 members who entrust their grapes to it. With over 400 hectares of vineyards to choose from, the winery obviously has the opportunity to select and create a series of Barbera offers for all tastes and always with the right quality / price ratio. Small quantities of other grapes ( Grignolino , Brachetto , Chardonnay , Moscato , etc.) can be found in the lots and plots of the members, but Barbera is the cooperative’s masterpiece and the serious and rigorous selections have conquered a wide range of admirers over the years. In addition to Barbera d’Asti Sorì dei Mori, we point out other excellent offers of Barbera aged in oak: I Tre Vescovi , Laudana , Vigne Vecchie and Sei Vigne Insynthesis , which alone consolidated the excellent reputation of the cooperative.
