Avanzare was in 2004 by Julio Gomez, Luis Otaño and Javier Perez. Avanzare provides customers with high-performance nanomaterials and nanotechnology-based solutions. In 2014 Avanzare acquired Ensatec, a European ILAC-ENAC accredited laboratory, which made Avanzare to be specialized in testing, certification and calibration services with fire testing division, and gave the capacity to issue a wide range of certifications. We are specialized in the development, production, and commercialization of specialty additives for materials like plastic and rubber. We are hosting an Open Innovation Workshop on #Recycling #Reuse and #Recovery of #AdvancedComposites !!! It will be an hybrid event on the 7th of June, taking place in Brussels and online. Fiber-reinforced composites are amongst the enabling materials for the green and digital transitions in the transport and mobility sector. They allow for lightweighting, purpose-built functions, and high performances even in extreme applications. However, their overall safety and sustainability profile still suffers from potential negative impacts mainly related to manufacturing, and the end-of-life dimensions. Research is on-going to develop more sustainable solutions, introducing biobased components, developing more efficient processes, exploring reuse and recycle solutions. The workshop aims to share insights with experts in the field on chemical systems and novel technologies, and production techniques toward recycling and recovery of high-value composite constituents, and to understand the interplay among these variables.
