About

As a Managing Director, my responsibilities include middle market sponsor loan origination, structuring, underwriting, negotiation of legal documentation, and portfolio management on first and second lien loans provided to sponsor-backed businesses. My underwritten investments span various sectors including, business services, software, e-commerce, technology services, manufacturing, specialty chemical, franchise, and healthcare.

Born and raised in the Bronx, my original plan was to become a firefighter; however, my career took a different path. I've always been naturally curious with a unique blend of qualitative and quantitative ability. When I earned a scholarship to Baruch College, I pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration, minored in English, and graduated with honors. I later pursued an MBA in Finance at UCONN while working full time.

As a teenager, I became fascinated with investing - my passion for it continues to this day. While at Jarden, a consumer product roll-up led by a private equity focused management team, I loved learning about different businesses, admiring the entrepreneurs behind the scenes. I began as an Associate and advanced within two years to Manager, making positive impacts in acquisitions (participating in 13 consumer products businesses) and portfolio management.

Following Jarden and completion of my MBA, I joined GE Capital (later spun off as Antares Capital), where I spent 12 years advancing from Associate to Vice President of Sponsor Cash Flow Lending. My experience in underwriting loans, span virtually all sectors and billions of dollars of invested capital including more than $50MM in pre-tax gains in distressed debt.

My ability to connect with others has contributed to my successes. From the warehouse employees at the portfolio companies to the c-level executives, I know how to adapt, find common ground, and build consensus. I also find great satisfaction in mentoring and training junior associates. I am grateful to all those who mentored me along the way.

When I am not working, I enjoy all things fitness and sports. I love to travel and dedicate time to animal foster and rescue. I also love to read.
