UNIVERSA UNIVERSIS PATAVINA LIBERTAS! Best compliments to our Stefano Toigo, Phd Student at Dip. di Ingegneria dell'Informazione (DEI) - Dept. Information Engineering / UniPD and AI&MV Engineer in beanTech, who received the "Best Paper Award" at the #QCAV 2023 conference in Albi (F). The work "#DeepLearning based industrial #quality #control on #lowcost smart #cameras" is part of our continuous #research to improve industrial automation in #manufacturing, by promoting intelligent #edge solutions. This result clearly shows that a virtuous #collaboration between #Academia and #Industry is possible, when a common goal is shared and each part gives a specific contribution respecting its identity. The ECC2022 Workshop “Rigidity Theory applied to Dynamic Systems from Parallel Robots to Multi-Agent Formations” has concluded! Rigidity theory emerges as an elegant tool studied by the robotics and control communities, building on the two pillars of mathematical formalism and multi-element system applications. It has been a great opportunity to exchange ideas and foster research connections with our colleagues and friends: -Ming Cao -Paolo Robuffo Giordano -Christos Verginis -Isabelle FANTONI -Daniel Zelazo -Sébastien Briot -Antonio Franchi -Edoardo Idà Thanks for the excellent presentations: this was great food for thought! And thanks to all the attendees for their participation! Looking forward to a next full in-person event Giulia Michieletto & Angelo Cenedese Details of the workshop: https://lnkd.in/gEyeGHpp #research #robotics #controlsystems

It's a wrap! A fruitful session at IEEE IV 2022 MaVRoC Workshop today in Aachen, Germany. With a combination of experts from academics, automotive carmakers and deep-tech companies, a lot of interesting questions related to mapping and perception for autonomous driving were discussed today. On behalf of the co-organizers, thanks to Dr. Shiyu Song, Prof. Fabio Cuzzolin, Yousef Hindy, Colin de Vrieze and Daniel Fusaro for the excellent presentations. Surely, to deploy safe, reliable and feasible autonomous driving technologies, more cross-disciplinary discussions should be made. And certainly was a good feeling to listen to technical discussions face-to-face again after a while. See you in 2023 at the next IEEE IV! Details of the workshop: https://lnkd.in/dDc2gxJ.
