In memory of Nadia 2 This is the second and last message for today. Marème and I, coming from different paths, joined forces with the amazing team of Peaceinvest to build economies of peace where women, men, girls, and boys can prosper in safe environments, filled with opportunities. I am not sure how Marème got to Peaceinvest (besides the fact that a great common friend introduced us). I got to Peaceinvest, and to continuing a fulfilling professional career, thanks to many people, first and foremost my parents who encouraged me as a young woman to pursue my interests without fear, and to Nadia, who helped me send - by mail at the time - thousands of CVs to many of you who may be reading this post! And please, read what we are doing at Peaceinvest to give many other women opportunities to fulfil their dreams.

In memory of Nadia Today, I am remembering a good woman, Nadia, who passed away after struggling for years with illness. I want to remember her by posting two photos that have to do with her, albeit somewhat indirectly, and that give a tiny, but powerful example of how each of us can contribute to creating opportunities for other women, and men. Nadia did so for many people, from all over the world. In this photo: My mother, my daughter, and me. My mother, at 81, a recognized world leader in the classical music industry, still works full time to promote the talent of many female and male artists and brings the best music to the world - Nadia was her collaborator for 38 years, and basically run the office, leading from behind the scene. Many acclaimed musicians owe their career to Nadia and to my mother. My daughter whom at 18 in this photo, had just casted her first vote in the Italian political elections (where I run and lost 😑), is now at university (I hope studying full time 😀), and is already contributing her ideas and hopes to the world - Nadia mentored her during her first professional experience, giving her a clear sense of the effort it takes to succeed. Me - Nadia helped me innumerable times with the basics and less so, including checking on me when I was under bombs in some conflict-ravaged area. I can say that my career without her might have taken a different - less exciting - spin. Nadia was not famous, did not travel much around the world, was not waking up in the morning thinking "gender"; yet her contribution to advancing the lives of other women is commendable. Investing in Peace Ten years ago we launched the #NewDeal for Fragile States, signed by 40 countries and organisations to support transitions out of crisis. Now, with #Peaceinvest we are launching a new partnership with the #g7+ to #invest in #peace. Pleased to be working again with the g7+ team.

Where are the risks? Mozambico is a country full of opportunities and business potential, yet if fails to attract much private investment, because it's...risky. #Peaceinvest we mobilise and design risk-adjusted investments that build long-term peace and social cohesion. We came to Mozambico to look for opportunities for innovative and impactful investment. Delighted to have visited, during the trip, Papa Pesca Farm with #SustainablePlanet and #Eclosia.
