🐞 "𝑀𝑎𝑛 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑠 𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝 𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑡𝑜𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑝 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑡𝑜𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠 ℎ𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦." 🐝Università degli Studi di Padova is one of the 90 partners of the 𝐄𝐔𝐏 𝐀𝐇&𝐖 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 (𝑬𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒏𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒇𝒂𝒓𝒆). 🐄 The most ambitious research and innovation initiative funded by the European Commission to control 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑠 and to promote 𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙 𝑤𝑒𝑙𝑓𝑎𝑟𝑒, will provide an investment of 360 million euros over seven years. The 𝐷𝑒𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝐴𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙 𝑀𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑒, 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐻𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑡ℎ will coordinate the project's activities at Unipd. 🦟 Research activities will deal with the study of infectious diseases of both terrestrial and aquatic animals, of zoonotic risks, such as avian influenza, as well as the improvement of animal welfare.
