📣 Alice Diop will be in Locarno in March. As the guest of honor at L’immagine e la parola, the Locarno Film Festival’s spring event, the celebrated French filmmaker will be present at Cinema Rialto in Locarno, in a program titled “Noi e gli altri” and featuring dialogues and discussions about her work and practice. There will also be a workshop by Professor Kevin B Lee delving into the particular characteristics of Diop's cinema. Through this event, the public in Locarno will have a chance to explore the work of a singular artist of our current moment. Diop has long been a filmmaker of the margins but her recent successes at festivals like Berlin or Venice have propelled her into the center of the international filmmaking conversation.
