We are all deeply moved and eager to create models and methods that involve citizens in decision-making processes and provide relevant information for their health projects. 👉🙏 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲: 👥👩⚕️ To hold citizens accountable for their health behavior. 🏥🌍 Competent authorities MUST: 👉 implement structural plans that engage and yield results and must also 👉 alert citizens to respect their bodies and Healthcare Professionals too who often risk their own lives as seen during COVID-19. #Heroesthennowandever🦸♀️🦸♂️ 🏥🤝 Patients and citizens must follow the orders and heed the advice of professionals. 👉If needed, seek second opinions👍, but always seek certified opinions 🧑🎓, not from unreliable sources that poison the system and health behaviors like the new trends of influencers. 🤰🤯 At a time when there is much talk of obstetric violence and more, I address an issue that no one talks about... 📜🤔 𝗡𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 - 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝘄𝘆𝗲𝗿, saying they do 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙤 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙧 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙠𝙮. 👉 This prevents healthcare professionals from providing proper care to pregnant mothers and newborns, for example. 🥺🙏 Isn't this a form of violence on the part of citizens when they bring these complaints without having reliable information or understanding the risks they are running? 👶🚼 Later arrive with pre-eclampsia after unmonitored pregnancies, demanding that everything goes well because their natural pregnancy was excellent, and if anything happens, they sue everyone because they saw an influencer on the internet saying that pregnancy is a natural process and we should not be invaded during gestation, but rather be careful during childbirth against obstetric violence. Does no one protest or hold these people accountable? Do we have to watch citizens die in hospitals and then go to court to discuss these responsibilities? 🩺🤝 It's time we address these critical issues in healthcare. Our responsibility as citizens and professionals is to ensure the best possible care while respecting each other's roles and expertise. Let's be more humane. We've all seen or used the "screen and refer" approach for the social needs of patients. Sadly, it's a way to say we've met needs without doing more than referring to resources that very often never get utilized. A great article came out today about using a "narrative medicine" approach instead of "screen and refer." Evidence suggests that taking time to listen and understand our patients is more effective. It is also more humane. We rely too much on checklists, screening tools, algorithms, and other devices. We need to listen, listen, listen. Engage and question and listen some more. Get to know and understand our patients and their lives. As a freelance health and wellness writer, I provide content that recognizes the individual. One size doesn't fit all. But, I want to find more ways to recognize social factors that are determinants of health.
