Succede sempre qualcosa di meraviglioso
The story of Davide’s journey, a young man who sees all of his certainties crumble one after the other, until he loses the will to live. And the story of Guilly, a character somehow not in the right time, whom Davide meets by chance or by fate in Vietnam and teaches him an alternative way full of light to deal with life. A story of rebirth to lose and find yourself, in which Gianluca Gotto explores the topic of the pursuit of happiness (a theme he also grappled with in his memoir Le coordinate della felicità – The Coordinates to Happiness) on a universal level: the final destination of this journey isn’t attaining a certain kind of life, but a state of mind. A warm feeling that is always inside us, regardless of what destiny has in store for us. We could call it many different things: serenity, internal peace, lightness, calm. Or, as Guilly would say, “the feeling of being home, always.”
Gianluca Gotto is a digital nomad: he writes articles and books while traveling around the world, especially throughout Asia. In 2018, he wrote down his life story in the book Le coordinate della felicità, which he then followed up with the novels Come una notte a Bali, Succede sempre qualcosa di meraviglioso and La pura vida. His TEDx “Come essere felici ogni singolo giorno” is one of the most viewed videos in Italian.
