“I love to accomplish things and then move on and find the next one. I’m just really good at solving things or processes.”

President and Chief Operating Officer, Signature Financial Planning

You could call Serina Green a trailblazer.

The Robert Morris University graduate joined Signature Financial Planning as a client services specialist in 2013 and this past June was tapped as the firm’s first female president and chief operating officer.

Along the way she has helped bolster the assets of the company to $1 billion and has expanded staff. She’s currently spearheading relocation of the firm’s offices from The Trimont on Mount Washington to the heart of Downtown.

She is on the board of Sojourner House, which helps women in need, Strong Women Strong Girls mentorship program and other organizations.

She credits her strong work ethic to her parents — dad is a mechanic, mom a nurse — who had to raise herself and six sisters. “My entire life I’ve had kind of a go-go-go mentality,” she says. “I paid for school myself.

I worked full time while I went to school. I’ve always carried multiple jobs. And I always was very career driven.”
