I bring more than twenty years of experience providing therapy, consultation, and assessments with children and their families to my clinical practice. I have experience working with children and families around many issues including, loss, attachment, adoption, anxiety, depression, atypical development, learning differences and trauma.
Play therapy helps children communicate and connect, understand and gain of control of situations and their emotions. Parents are essential to children’s wellbeing and need support to find new ways of understanding and responding to their children. Children heal best through a secure relationship with a parent, and parents deserve help on their end too.
While you can't undo a traumatic experience or difficult life circumstance, therapy can help shift the meaning your child or you make of what has happened and, in so doing, buffer its’ impact on you, your child and your relationships.
